For more than 50 years, the destination has acquired international fame thanks to its vast ski area for all levels of 225 kilometres of slopes.
Since 2003, La Plagne has been a component resort of Paradiski: the ski area that links it with the neighbouring resorts of Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry.

Features of the esf La Plagne ski school resort
La Plagne Centre is actually part of a group of 10 resorts:
- 6 altitude resorts (Aime la Plagne, Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages / Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte, and Plagne 1800), all located directly at the foot of the slopes, linked free of charge from 8:00 am to midnight, making it possible to connect without a car.
- 4 village resorts (Champagny en Vanoise, Plagne Montalbert, Montchavin and Les Coches) giving access to the entire ski area.
From the traditional villages to the altitude villages, La Plagne has more than 53,387 beds spread over its 10 destinations, located between 1250 and 2100 metres.
Forming part of the Paradiski domain La Plagne also links with Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry.
