The Alpe d'Huez ski area culminates at an altitude of 3,300 metres at the top of Pic Blanc, the high altitude guarantees snow cover for the 3,000 hectares of the area. The area is divided into 245 km of slopes of all levels, over 2210 meters of vertical drop, and 800 skiable hectares so that you can discover the entire area and enjoy the breathtaking panorama offered by the massif.
There is a gentle drop in altitude at the bottom of the slopes and the area has green and blue runs to promote gentle learning of skiing for beginners and those continuing on their progress within ability levels. For thrill-seekers, the black runs, accessible from the Pic Blanc cable car or with the new Les Marmottes III gondola, will allow you to apply a more technical approach to maximise your ski challenge.

The Alpe d'Huez ski resort has the longest black run in the world. The run, which is nearly 16 km, starts from the Sarenne glacier, La Fare and Château Noir. For hours of skiing and fun, the 2210 metres of vertical drop will allow you to ski for 1 hr 30 without having to take the ski lifts, thanks to a network of very well-linked tracks.
